Ski
In Sauris there are a number of ski slopes, including nursery slopes suitable for children
or beginners and slopes for the more experienced skier who can try their hand at the FISI
(Italian Winter Sports Federation) -approved slalom.
For the excursionist enthusiast there is a scenic ski trail of about 10 kilometres
while for the cross-country skier there is a splendid circuit in a nice sunny spot.

Snow cat
Sauris offers visitors the use of a snow cat for higher altitude transport
to areas usually reserved for alpine skiers.
The only requirement is to be reasonably good skiers and to have the normal downhill skiing equipment.
Departure is from Sauris di Sotto. The snow cat takes you up to the Eimblateribm
shelter and then on towards Pieltinis. |

Excursions
Excursions with snow shoes are also possible from Sauris. This is a unique opportunity for
hiking at high altitude even in the middle of winter and to discover the magical atmosphere
of the Sauris mountains in their winter guise. |
There are two different ski areas: Sauris di Sopra - Sauris di Sotto
- 6 km of downhill slopes (1 red - 3 lightblue)
- 3 ski-lifts (Rikhelan, Zheile, Sauris di Sotto)
- 1 monovia
- Total hourly capacity 2100 people (minimum altitude 1200 m./maximum altitude 1480 m.
