The "Azienda Agricola Domini" has been operating for approximately 15 years in the soft fruit and
vegetable market. It began really as a result of Signora Edith's curiosity after a visit to a local
strawberry farm.
Edith decided she too would try planting a few strawberries and she has never looked back,
animated by her passion and enthusiasm and a desire to grow and expand.
So from the simple cultivation of strawberries and other soft fruits, seasonal vegetables and
sauerkraut cabbage, Edith extended her activities to making jams, fruit juices and syrups.
To put a figure on her activities, last year 800 pots of jam, 200 bottles of syrup and just
as many fruit juices went onto the market. Soft fruits are sold wholesale to ice-cream parlours
and confectioners in Carnia and retail at the factory.
Currently, the business totals 21 closed mobile glasshouses over an area of about 3,500 square metres,
all equipped with irrigation systems.
The positive market response and the excellent results obtained have given the proprietor
the necessary encouragement and stimulus, despite the difficulties inherent in the altitude
and climatic conditions of the area, to risk the further improvements necessary for expansion.
